1999/2000 Coalition Accomplishments:
  • The Coalition actively supported the rights of immigrant workers and families in the city of Santa Fe. The Coalition co-president, Gloria Nieto was appointed as the chair of a newly established City of Santa Fe Immigration Task Force. This Task Force serves as an official advisory body to the City Council.
  • We also worked with the Faith Communities Against Hate Crimes; the Office of Intercultural Affairs, City of Santa Fe and the Municipal Court Judge, among others, on the passage and implementation of the SF City Hate Crimes ordinance.
