1999/2000 Coalition Accomplishments:
- We provided over 15 technical assistance sessions to 11 New Mexico/El Paso GLBT organizations. The Coalition staff and volunteers traveled to all parts of the state and region to meet with activists, provide support and share resources. These communities include: Clovis, Deming, Alamogordo, Las Cruces, Gallup, Farmington, Cuba, Taos, Espa–ola, Las Vegas, as well as El Paso, Texas and Juarˇz, Mexico. We also received and upgraded two donated computers which were then given to activists in rural areas of the state.
- The Coalition organized the 5th annual Summit: TOOLS 2000, in Silver City, with a volunteer committee of 18 people from throughout the state and El Paso, Texas. In attendance were 147 people, from 23 communities, the highest level of participation to date.
