The Coalition's Program Goals for 2000 are:
Since its inception, the Coalition has concentrated its legislative agenda on passage of state laws to protect LGBT people, recognizing this s a long-term goal.

Now, after six years of organizing, the Coalition is in a position to be able to organize on the next level- in communities where people live.

On November 20, 1999, the Coalition Steering Committee agreed to focus its energies on the passage of local civil rights legislation in New Mexico communities.
