The Coalition's Summits are the primary place where we receive feedback on our work. Below are some excerpts from the evaluations filled out at the close of SUMMIT '98 Strengthening the Circle of CommUNITY.
Very enjoyable. I liked the network and to be able to voice my personal concerns openly. I have met people who are wonderful. I most want to become more active with the community to bring about much needed change.
- Being my first experience in any gay organization, I found it very much fulfilling. The unification reached my heart. I find it very commendable that a gathering like this one exists. It emphasizes on having a community and braking stereotypes which is what we mostly need.
- An amazing event. More useful than last year. More productive. More Inspiring!!! Loved it!
- Informative and interesting. I'm new to NM and enjoyed learning about new resources.
- A very useful and educational experience. The concept of actually having a Summit with 100+ gays and lesbians is astounding to me. It shows how far we really have come but does not disillusion how far we have yet to go.
