The Coalition's Vision:
The Coalition is a federation of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied organizations from throughout New Mexico which support full civil rights and an end to discrimination in all forms for all people. The Coalition and its 37 member organizations want to ensure that all GLBT people and their families can live their lives openly and proudly without fear of violence or discrimination.
The Coalition's Mission is threefold: to promote an environment where sexual orientation is protected by law; to strengthen community networks; and to create coalitions between and among organizations.
Programs and Activities: The Coalition, while working on a grassroots level, is an organization's organization with no individual members. The Coalition's work over the last six years has been to assist in the organizing and coordination of the gay/lesbian/bi/transgender community's efforts across the state. We have provided fundraising and organizational development training, legislative leadership, planning and limited funding to communities in New Mexico.
